From Monday, October 26, every Domino™ pizza that a Domino’s Rewards member orders and pays for online in the US earns a code for one of three Minecraft Dungeons II cosmetics. One of them is a cape, the Slice Slayer Cape, and that word is causing confusion: this is not a Minecraft cape. It will not appear in Java or Bedrock, in your cape menu or on any server.
Below: what it really costs, the cheapest way in, and what the fine print on Minecraft.net and Domino’s actually says.
What it really costs
The Domino™ is Domino’s new Detroit-style pizza for one, on the US menu since August 31. On dominos.com a one-topping Domino™ is $7.99 for carryout in New York and $8.99 in Dallas and Los Angeles (menu check of October 16, 2026). Each Domino™ earns exactly one code, so one pizza is the cheapest way in.
Two catches. The code is random with equal odds, so one pizza is a one-in-three shot at the cape. Two pizzas give you a 56% chance of at least one cape, three give you 70%. And the code does nothing without Minecraft Dungeons II, which is $29.99 for the Standard Edition. If you do not own the game yet, your real entry price is about $37.98 before tax.
| Route | Cost | What you get |
|---|---|---|
| One Domino™, you already own Dungeons II | $7.99 | 1 code, 1-in-3 chance of the cape |
| Two Domino™ pizzas on the Mix & Match deal | $13.98 | 2 codes, 56% chance of at least one cape |
| One Domino™ plus Dungeons II Standard | $37.98 | The game and 1 code |
| Domino’s own value of one code | $2.99 | The “approximate retail value” in the official terms |
Mix & Match prices each item at $6.99 when you buy two or more, which makes it the cheapest price per code. Prices vary by store and delivery costs more, so check your local menu before you order.
Is it a Minecraft cape? No, and both official pages say so
Minecraft.net calls all three items “exclusive cosmetic items for Minecraft Dungeons II”. Domino’s terms are blunter: reward codes are “redeemable only in the Minecraft Dungeons II game”, and the FAQ adds that the items are “not usable in any Minecraft game other than Minecraft Dungeons II.”
Compare that with the two Dungeons II capes that do cross over. When Mojang brought the Hero Cape and Twisted Cape to Java & Bedrock, it named them. Nothing in the Domino’s material says that about Slice Slayer. Where you redeem also gives it away: inside Dungeons II, under Settings, then Exclusive Content. Java and Bedrock cape codes go to minecraft.net/redeem instead.
The three items

Slice Slayer Cape
Pixel pepperoni on a cheese-yellow cape, with melted drips along the hem. Mojang says none of the three items gives any gameplay advantage; they are cosmetic only.
You can redeem one per Microsoft account. A second Slice Slayer code is only useful as a gift.
Dungeons II onlyHow to get it in the US
- Join Domino’s Rewards. It is free, and you can also sign up after checkout.
- Order a Domino™ on dominos.com or in the app and pay online. Orders placed in store or by phone, or paid for in store, do not count.
- Wait up to 24 hours. The 12-character code appears under My Deals & Rewards.
- Write the code down. The terms say codes stay in your account until February 2, 2027 (the FAQ says February 7, so go by the earlier date).
- Launch Minecraft Dungeons II on the Microsoft account that should get the item, open Settings from the title screen, choose Exclusive Content and enter the code by December 31, 2027.
The rules: up to 10 codes per order, one per Domino™. One of each item per Microsoft account. Duplicates happen, and Domino’s will not swap a code for a different item, but you can give it to a friend. The offer is open to US residents aged 13 or older who are Domino’s Rewards members, while supplies last.
October 26 to November 4 is a different giveaway
The dates going around for this promo are for a separate sweepstakes: 20,000 digital copies of Minecraft Dungeons II, 2,000 per day, US only. Buy a Domino™, upload the receipt on dominos.com/minecraft-dungeons-ii, and you are entered once; your entry rolls over into the later daily draws. Prizes are Standard Edition codes for Xbox Series X|S and PC, redeemed at minecraft.net/redeem.
If you do not own Dungeons II yet, that makes the timing simple: order between October 26 and November 4, and the same receipt that gets you an item code is also your entry for a free copy of the game.
Outside the US
The Domino™ is not sold everywhere, but Mojang lists 18 other markets with in-game items at participating stores: Australia, Canada, New Zealand, Belgium, the Netherlands, Brazil, France, Germany, Japan, Malaysia, Mexico, Singapore, Portugal, Saudi Arabia, the UAE, Spain, Taiwan and Turkey. Each market sets its own qualifying order, dates and code format, from personal pizzas and meal bundles to box toppers and printed code cards. Check your local Domino’s site or app.
China is a separate campaign: five limited pizzas in boxes styled after MyWorld mobs (creeper, pig, villager, zombie and bee), through dominos.com.cn. Neither official page says those boxes come with Dungeons II codes.
Why we do not sell this cape
MC Capers sells official redeem codes for capes that show up in Minecraft Java and Bedrock. The Slice Slayer Cape is not one of them, Domino’s says its codes are not for resale, and the cheapest legitimate route is a $7.99 pizza anyway. So we do not stock it and will not. For the Dungeons II capes that do reach Minecraft, read our Hero Cape guide; for the ones that stay behind, see the Dungeons II capes that never reach Minecraft.
Want a cape that shows up in Minecraft?
Our shop sells Java and Bedrock cape codes only, checked before delivery. No Dungeons II exclusives.
Quick answers
Does the Domino’s Slice Slayer Cape work in Minecraft Java or Bedrock?
No. Domino’s terms say the codes are redeemable only in Minecraft Dungeons II, and its FAQ says the items are not usable in any other Minecraft game.
What is the cheapest way to get the Slice Slayer Cape?
Order one Domino™ online and pay online: $7.99 for carryout at New York menu prices, $8.99 in Dallas and Los Angeles. You also need Minecraft Dungeons II ($29.99 Standard). The code is random, so one pizza is a 1-in-3 chance at the cape.
Is November 4 the last day to get a code?
No. October 26 to November 4 is the 20,000-copy Dungeons II game giveaway. In the US, item codes come with qualifying orders from October 26, 2026 to January 10, 2027 and must be redeemed by December 31, 2027.
Can I put two Slice Slayer codes on one account?
No. The limit is one of each item per Microsoft account. You can give a duplicate code to a friend, but Domino’s will not swap it for a different item.
