The Builder Cape was the online counterpart to the TwitchCon-exclusive Crafter Cape, released for TwitchCon 2026 and the Minecraft Movie Build Challenge. From May 30, 2026, watching five minutes of any Twitch livestream (or three minutes on TikTok) earned a code - but demand crushed supply: roughly 18 hours in, Twitch ran out of codes entirely, telling players it could not restock "in accordance with our promotional partner". A restock arrived June 3 and drops finally ended June 14, 2026.
All codes expired on June 30, 2026. Despite being an "easy" online drop on paper, the code shortage means far fewer Builder Capes exist than intended, and the earning window is now permanently closed.
